ANZ + PayDay FAQs
Common questions from ANZ customers about using PayDay.
Does PayDay work with ANZ goMoney?
Yes! PayDay works alongside ANZ goMoney. You continue using goMoney for your everyday banking while PayDay handles automatic pay splitting in the background. They complement each other perfectly.
Will I still earn bonus interest on my Serious Saver?
Absolutely. PayDay transfers count as regular deposits, so you'll continue to qualify for ANZ's bonus interest rates on accounts like Serious Saver and Progress Saver. In fact, automated consistent deposits can help ensure you never miss a month.
Can I split my ANZ pay to accounts at other banks?
Yes! That's one of PayDay's best features. You can split your ANZ pay to your own accounts at ASB, BNZ, Kiwibank or Westpac. This is perfect if you have better savings rates elsewhere or a joint account at a different bank.
Is connecting my ANZ account safe?
Yes, completely safe. PayDay uses Akahu, New Zealand's open finance platform. Your ANZ login credentials are entered directly on ANZ's secure site and are never seen or stored by PayDay. We only get read access to see your balance and payment-initiation access to make transfers you've authorised.
What happens if ANZ has scheduled maintenance?
If ANZ's systems are temporarily unavailable, PayDay picks up your pay on a later check once the connection is back. If a split payment fails, PayDay does not retry it automatically. You'll get an email and can retry it from the app. Scheduled maintenance rarely affects pay processing as it typically occurs outside business hours.
Can I use ANZ's automatic payments alongside PayDay?
Yes! PayDay works independently of your existing ANZ automatic payments and scheduled transfers. Many users use PayDay to split their pay first, then let their existing automatic payments handle specific bills from the allocated funds.
