Automatic pay detection
Know the moment your pay lands
PayDay detects your salary the second it arrives and runs your splits automatically, so your money is sorted before you can spend it.
Sound familiar?
The transfer never happens
You mean to move money to savings every payday. It gets pushed to the weekend, then next week, then never.
Your pay lands at odd times
Weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or whenever the shift roster falls. A fixed calendar reminder never matches real life.
You forget you got paid
The money sits in your everyday account and quietly leaks away before you think to divide it up.
Manual splitting is a chore
Logging in, typing amounts, moving money between accounts. It is admin nobody wants to do twice a month.
Set it up once, then forget about it
Detection runs quietly in the background. You never have to remember a transfer again.
Connect your bank
Link your main account through Akahu in under a minute. You log in at your own bank, and PayDay gets permission to see your transactions so it can spot your pay.
PayDay watches for your pay
We monitor your account continuously and match incoming deposits to your pay source and amount, however irregular your schedule.
Your splits run automatically
The moment your pay is detected, your split rules fire and the money moves. You get a notification when it is done.
Built to catch every payday
Detection is only useful if it is accurate. Here is how PayDay recognises your pay and adapts when it changes.
Smart pattern matching
PayDay learns your employer name, typical amount, and timing, so it recognises your pay even when the figure moves week to week.
Handles variable income
Percentage-based splits adjust to whatever actually lands, so a bigger week saves more and a quiet week never overdraws you.
Multiple pay sources
Two jobs, a side hustle, or commission on top of a salary. Set a separate rule for each source and PayDay keeps them straight.
A record of every run
Every detection and split is logged with a timestamp, so you can always see exactly what moved and when.
Common questions
What if I get paid at irregular times?
PayDay monitors your account continuously, regardless of when your pay arrives. Whether you are paid weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or at irregular intervals, we detect it as soon as it lands.
How does PayDay know which deposit is my salary?
During setup you configure your expected pay source (employer name) and typical amount range. PayDay uses this along with pattern matching to identify your salary from other deposits.
What if my pay amount changes?
PayDay handles variable income well. That is why we recommend percentage-based splits rather than fixed amounts. If you get a bonus, overtime, or your pay varies, your splits adjust proportionally.
Can I have multiple income sources?
Yes. You can configure multiple pay sources with different split rules for each. That suits people with multiple jobs, side hustles, or regular income from different sources.
