Multi-bank support
One app for all your NZ banks
Connect accounts from ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Westpac, Kiwibank and more, then split your pay across any combination of them.
Sound familiar?
Your money is spread across banks
Everyday in one, savings in another, bills somewhere else. Keeping them straight is a job nobody has time for.
Five banking apps, five logins
Just to move money from one account to another you are hopping between apps and remembering five sets of details.
Cross-bank transfers are clunky
Getting pay from your ANZ account into your ASB savings usually means manual transfers you have to remember to do.
You settle for worse rates
Chasing a better savings rate at another bank feels like too much hassle, so the money stays where it earns less.
Every bank, connected in minutes
Link your accounts once through Akahu's secure connection, then manage them all in one place.
Select your banks
Choose from the list of supported NZ banks and add as many accounts as you need, across any of them.
Log in securely
You log in through each bank's own portal via Akahu. PayDay never sees your password. It can see your transactions and make only the transfers in your split rules.
Split across any of them
Your accounts appear together. Send pay from one bank straight into savings or bills at another, automatically.
Supported New Zealand banks
Plus credit unions and other institutions through Akahu, with more added as open banking expands.
Why Kiwis spread their banking
Using more than one bank is smart. PayDay makes it effortless instead of a chore.
Chase better rates
Keep your savings wherever they earn the most, without changing the account your pay lands in.
Spread your risk
Money across more than one bank means an outage at one never leaves you completely stuck.
Couples and families
Partners often bank differently. Split into a joint account no matter which bank it is with.
Mortgage offset
Paid into one bank but offsetting a mortgage at another? Send money straight to the offset account.
Common questions
Which New Zealand banks does PayDay support?
PayDay works with all major NZ banks, including ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Westpac, Kiwibank, TSB, Rabobank and The Co-operative Bank, plus more institutions through Akahu. Support continues to expand as open banking rolls out.
Can I split pay from one bank into accounts at another?
Yes. That is the point of PayDay. Your pay can land at one bank and be split into savings or bills accounts at any of your other connected banks.
How does PayDay connect to my banks?
Through Akahu, an accredited requestor on MBIE's Register of Participants under the Customer and Product Data Act 2025. You log in at your own bank, and PayDay receives permission to see your transactions and make the transfers in your split rules, never your password.
Is there a limit on how many accounts I can connect?
No practical limit. Connect as many accounts across as many supported banks as you need to run the split setup that suits you.
